CHRISTMAS TREE VARIETIES
FRASER FIR
This evergreen features 1-inch needles with a dark blue-green color on the topside and a subtle silver tone on the underside. Like the balsam fir, the Fraser fir has needles that are soft to touch and excellent needle retention. This fir also boasts a pleasant fragrance.
With its firm branches that turn slightly upward, the Fraser fir can hold heavier ornaments. This variety is worth more, but takes longer to grow and maintain.
FRASER/BALSAM CROSS
This evergreen is a hybrid cross of the Fraser fir and balsam fir. This tree combines the best features of both fir trees including dark green needles with silver underside, sturdy but soft branches, great needle retention and a pleasing fragrance throughout the holiday season.
Fun fact: Cross pollination testing by Mr. Willey resulted in this beautiful hybrid that combines the best of both fir trees.
BALSAM FIR
This dense, cone-shaped fir tree has airy, flexible branches. It features very good retention of its dark green needles that are ¾ to 1 ½ inches long and soft to the touch.
The balsam fir is considered the most fragrant variety of Christmas trees, and its scent will provide a festive fragrance the entire Christmas season.
NATURAL AND DECORATED WREATHS
Our holiday Christmas wreaths are made with fresh Fraser fir and Balsam fir boughs. We offer multiple sizes of both natural wreaths and decorated wreaths.
Mrs. Willey and her daughters personally handcraft each decorated wreath with a bow, magnolia, cones, berries and other assorted greenery. Each bow is handmade by Mrs. Willey using high-quality, weather-resistant ribbon. The pop of color combined with the assorted greens create a beautiful and full three-dimensional look to your decorated wreath.
